Homework

In general, homework expectations are for students to read each day (independently or with a loving adult) for a length of time that is appropriate for their developmental stage.  This is to be communicated to families by teachers at the beginning of the year.  In addition, our adaptive online math program, Dreambox, is available for students to practice skills at home if they desire.

In some cases, intermediate students may have some unfinished work or other projects that will require some work at home.

Families and loving adults may request work for their student only in the event of a long-term illness or injury.  Please allow teachers at least 24 hours to prepare.  Note: Teachers are not required to prepare special homework packets for students who go on family trips or vacations.  If a student is gone for ten or more consecutive school days, the student is withdrawn from the Beaverton School District, and homework will not be provided.
